Biography
Joanne graduated from the ANU with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Genetics and Bioinformatics. She has a Masters degree in Applied Science (Microscopy and Microanalysis) at the University of Sydney. During her Masters, Joanne did a research project to examine the migration behaviour in cultured breast cancer cells.
In 2011, Joanne joined the CAM as a Biological Microscopist and has extended the available skills in biological specimen preparation and operation of transmission electron microscope.

Research interests
General maintenance and training users in Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) and cryo-TEM.
Joanne provides technical support in relation to biological specimen preparation such as chemical / physical specimen processing and ultramicrotomy.
