The acquisition of high quality data has become easier and faster due to the latest advances in electron microscopy. However, to obtain this high quality data the pre-requisite of a well-polished flat surface still remains.
In this workshop, the procedures involved in obtaining such specimens will be discussed. In particular, the solutions for mechanical and Ion milling sample preparation for SEM and TEM developed by Technoorg-Linda Co. will be presented. This workshop will be presented by Dr Felipe Kremer, CAM, and delivered by Dr. Károly Havancsák and András Szigethy from Technoorg-Linda Co., Hungary.
Dr. Károly Havancsák
Dr. Havancsák is a physicist with PhD degree and broad work experience in solid state physics, materials science and nanotechnology. He is the author of several textbooks and has more than 100 papers and 600 independent citations. In the last few years, Dr. Havancsák worked as an associate professor at Eötvös University, Budapest and was the head of the Scanning Electron Microscope Laboratory at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. He was working for Technoorg-Linda Co. as an application specialist during this period and in 2017 he became the head of the R&D Department at Technoorg-Linda Co. Ltd. Ltd.
András Szigethy has M.Sc. degree of engineering and management sciences from Budapest University of Technology and Economics. He worked as a project manager for more than ten R&D projects in the field of electron-microscopy and stress and deformation measurement. András has been the managing director of Technoorg Linda Co. Ltd. since 2014.
