Description

Note: This workshop follows on from the ANU FIJI/ImageJ Workshop

Cameron Nowell has written a fantastic workshop for advanced image analysists who have already been working with FIJI or similar image analysis programs.

This workshop will be presented in a hands-on, masterclass type format. Users will be given various imaging data sets to work through. Initial data will be analysed using canned AI models in CellPose and StarDist, with machine learning from Ilastik. Later data will have users learning how to train their own AI models and apply these in automated code to batch analyse image sets.

Requirements:   You must bring your own laptop, with charger. Before the workshop, you will be expected to install and configure open source software (details and instruction will be provided to attendees). You will need a google account to access the free google colab instances. Please note that the installation instructions have only been tested on Windows, not Mac.  We will not spend any time during the workshop trying to make it work on a Mac.

Attendees are expected to have a reasonable understanding of image analysis using Fiji or similar packages. Some experience in Python would be useful but not necessary.

Cancellation policy: A full refund will be provided for cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event. No refunds will be provided for cancellations made within 14 days of the event.
