Dr Eric Lochner

Microanalytics Specialist

Eric has a BSc and PhD in experimental condensed matter physics. He joined CAM in 2024 after managing a multiuser interdisciplinary facility that specialized in materials characterization and device fabrication. Eric’s primary expertise is in imaging techniques (AFM, SEM), and associated analytical methods such as X-ray microanalysis. His experience with SEM includes work with several start-up companies where he developed novel WDS detectors and automated nanomaterials dimensioning tools. At CAM Eric supports the microprobe and general SEM instrumentation.
